JAMB and NSCDC Strengthen Security Collaboration Ahead of 2025 UTME/DE Registration

As part of preparations for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration, the Acting Director of JAMB’s Benin Zonal Office, Mr. Hassan Lawal, paid a courtesy visit to the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Tuesday, 7th January 2025. The visit aimed to consolidate the existing partnership between the two organizations.

During the meeting, Mr. Lawal emphasized the importance of the collaboration between JAMB and the NSCDC in ensuring a secure and seamless registration process. He highlighted the crucial role the NSCDC has played in previous UTME exercises, particularly in safeguarding JAMB’s facilities nationwide.

In response, Commandant Agun Gbenga Joseph, the head of the Edo State NSCDC Command, assured JAMB of the Corps’ continued support.

“We remain committed to providing security for all JAMB facilities nationwide and ensuring the safety and integrity of the registration and examination processes,” Commandant Joseph stated.

Mr. Lawal expressed gratitude to the NSCDC for its unwavering support in past JAMB activities. He acknowledged the Corps’ active involvement in maintaining order and security during previous UTME exercises and noted the vital role the NSCDC will play in the upcoming 2025 registration.
