In a significant move to support education and empower underprivileged youths, the Ahmed Idris Education and Less Privileged Foundation has sponsored the registration of no fewer than 500 candidates for the 2025 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
The initiative, spearheaded by Ahmed Idris, a former correspondent of The Guardian Newspaper in Birnin Kebbi and the current Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, was executed in collaboration with the Masaga Youth Progressive Association (MYPA), a community-based organization in Bida Local Council of Niger State, his hometown.
According to a statement released by the foundation, the sponsorship program aims to provide financial relief to less-privileged students in the Bida North Constituency, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to pursue higher education without financial constraints.
The foundation emphasized that this effort aligns with Ahmed Idris’s ongoing commitment to fostering educational development and uplifting the lives of young people in the community. The initiative is also part of a broader strategy to reduce financial barriers that often hinder students from accessing tertiary education.
The statement further reaffirmed the Ahmed Idris Foundation’s dedication to transforming lives through education, highlighting that similar initiatives will continue to support students in their academic pursuits.
This sponsorship program is expected to significantly impact the beneficiaries, equipping them with the necessary support to take the next step toward achieving their academic dreams.
Thank you Mr Ahmed Idris
