The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will officially close tomorrow, Saturday, March 8, 2025. This is the final deadline, and no further extension will be granted.
Since the registration period began on February 3, 2025, over 1.5 million candidates have successfully applied. However, thousands are still struggling to secure their slots, with many rushing to accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers in a last-minute attempt to register before the system closes.
No Extension After March 8 – Last Chance to Register
JAMB has made it clear that there will be no additional time for late applicants. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, emphasized, “There will be no further extension after March 8. Any candidate who fails to register before the deadline will have to wait until 2026.”
With this strict stance, candidates who fail to register before the deadline risk losing their chance to gain admission this year. Reports indicate that long queues have been forming at registration centers as many try to beat the deadline.
How to Register Before It’s Too Late
For those who have yet to register, follow these steps immediately:
- Visit an accredited CBT center before the deadline.
- Ensure you have your National Identification Number (NIN) – it is compulsory.
- Pay the required registration fee (₦4,700, covering e-PIN and reading text).
- Complete your registration and print your confirmation slip before the system closes.
UTME Exam Dates and Next Steps
The 2025 UTME is scheduled to take place from April 25 to May 5, 2025. Candidates are advised to start preparing immediately, as competition will be high.
This is an urgent call: complete your registration today or risk waiting an entire year.

Regarding the closer of that 2025 jamb, plz there are a lot of students out there struggling with getting profile code as this issue course by the NIN a lot now are able to overcome the problem with NIN, and now it’s very unfortunate for them after all this struggle jamb have set to close it’s registration it’s very sad really sad, please a lot of students need more time please don’t let there struggle went in vain,
As a student I support the extension for the e pin purchase and registration, am done with mine but they are a lot of my colleagues/students who haven’t on behalf of everyone out there I begg for extension.

You need to extend the registration to about a week, cause the problem now is not that we didn’t buy form or registered.. we did exactly that but we weren’t able to thumbprint, the network from your portal wasn’t stable, many of us tried different centers to see if we can thumbprint but nothing and the population was much, please consider some of us, at least open back your portal so we can at least thumbprint and continue preparation towards the exam.. We cannot just keep studying from last year till now and still not write the exam, is that fair? Some of us fought and worked really hard to get the money to register for the jamb exam.. please help us by extended the registration or thumbprinting periods please 🙏🙏🙏

Please, extension even for a week will serve a purpose for the teaming youths who are yet to register, buying of forms shouldn’t be so difficult as every qualified candidate is required to have a taste of the compulsory process which has age limits. Please help our children.

To be sincerely what jamb did this year was so annoying because they have close the registration pin before the dateline of registration if it we be possible can they help because so many candidates are still out there struggling to register but the registration pin is no more, help just because of God not human
Jamb 3 more days to the proposed closing date as some students will Nimc issue can also be considered.

I have a problem sir which i have been calling the board number but no respond i registered for jamb this year 2025 and i logged in into my e-facility account but i still find out that my registration year is still showing 2022 which is the first year i registered instead of 2025

There is no cause for alarm. The issue, according to the board, is due to the fact that the 2025 platform has not yet been fully made available for public viewing on the e-facility portal.
