“Please, sir, help us re-open the E-PIN portal, even if just for three days. We won’t mind, but please reconsider your decision for God’s sake. A lot of people are waiting for your announcement, sir. Please don’t disappoint them.”

Afolabi’s words carry the weight of lost opportunities, shattered dreams, and the fear of an uncertain future.

The Pain of Waiting Another Year

For students like Afolabi, missing JAMB registration is not just about an exam—it’s about losing an entire year.

Many were delayed by financial struggles, technical issues, and misinformation. They tried everything to fix these problems, but before they could, the registration window slammed shut. Now, they are being forced to sit at home for another year, watching their dreams fade while their mates move forward.

“Sir, if you ask me, it is not easy to sit at home doing nothing for a whole year.”

These words capture the deep frustration and helplessness of thousands of young people who feel like their future is slipping away.

A Desperate Plea for Mercy

Afolabi is not just asking for himself—he is speaking for thousands of students who have found themselves in the same painful situation.

“Some were delayed due to financial crises, technical issues, and more. Please don’t let their efforts go to waste.”

All they are asking for is a few more days, just a short extension to correct the mistakes, overcome their challenges, and secure their future.

“The ball is in your court, sir. You can do whatever you feel like doing with it. But a lot of students will be disheartened if you refuse to open the portal.”

A Message to Every JAMB Hopeful

To Afolabi and everyone else facing this situation, please do not lose hope. This setback does not mean the end of your journey. There are still other paths to admission, and one closed door does not mean there won’t be another opportunity.

If you feel overwhelmed, talk to someone, reach out for support, and keep believing in your future. You still have a chance to succeed, no matter how difficult things seem right now.

  1. Please sir/ma, with all due respect to whom it may concern, kindly help us to extend the jamb closing date, if not because of some isuses (e.g Lost sim card linked to profile code, NIN problems) some of us have, we’d have done the registration before the closure date
Consider us that wish to go further in our education and some of us are catering for ourselves.
Kindly help us also to find a way to resolve the issue of “Lost sim card linked to profile code” because some network provider has sold the sim card to another customer, if not so we’d have retrieve it back
