JAMB 2025 Latest News and Updates Today, Tuesday, March 25

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released new updates today, March 25, 2025, and one of the major announcements is the postponement of the 2025 Mock UTME. The mock exam, which was earlier scheduled for Saturday, April 5, has now been shifted to Thursday, April 10, 2025.

According to the board, the rescheduling was necessary to allow for additional technical preparations, implementation of key innovations, and proper logistics across all participating CBT centres. JAMB assured that this shift is in the best interest of the candidates and that all arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth experience.

Candidates who registered for the mock exam are advised to take note of the new date and continue with their preparations. JAMB will soon announce the new date for mock slip reprinting, where each candidate will be able to see their exam date, time, and CBT centre.

Meanwhile, the main UTME remains unchanged, and it will hold as scheduled from Friday, April 25 to Monday, May 5, 2025.

Also trending today is a concern raised by some candidates who tried to log in to their JAMB profile using the same phone number and email from their 2024 registration. JAMB responded via its official social media page that there’s no cause for alarm, explaining that the 2025 portal is not yet fully active for profile viewing, which is why some candidates still see last year’s details.

A candidate named Chinedu also shared his experience after paying ₦500 at a CBT centre to resolve this issue. Sadly, he said nothing new was done for him. This serves as a caution to others not to fall for unnecessary charges. JAMB has reassured candidates that once the 2025 platform becomes active, their details will be updated accordingly.
