2024 IJMB and JUPEB Direct Entry Candidates Must Upload Results or Face Disqualification

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a stern warning to all 2024 Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied with awaiting results from IJMB or JUPEB, urging them to upload their results immediately or risk being disqualified from the admission process.

According to a statement by Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D., Public Communication Advisor at JAMB, candidates who registered during the 2024 DE application period but have not yet uploaded their IJMB or JUPEB results must do so urgently at any approved CBT centre once the results are available. The board emphasized that no candidate will be considered for admission with an “awaiting result” (AR) status.

“This policy is in line with the board’s existing position for UTME candidates,” the statement reads. “Any Direct Entry application that still carries an ‘awaiting result’ tag will be automatically disqualified from the admission consideration process.”

The board reiterated the importance of timely result uploads, noting that all candidate credentials must be verified to determine eligibility for admission. Any candidate who fails to upload their results will be treated as not having any results at all, regardless of the initial application status.

JAMB also advised candidates intending to apply for the 2025 Direct Entry to take note of this directive and ensure they upload their results as soon as they are released, in order to avoid unnecessary complications and improve their chances of admission.

Candidates are encouraged to act fast and visit a JAMB-approved CBT centre to update their records before it’s too late.
