The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called on all 2024 Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied with IJMB or JUPEB awaiting results to upload their results without further delay. The board stressed that failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification from the ongoing admission process.
In a statement signed by the Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D., JAMB reminded candidates that any application marked as “awaiting result” will not be considered for admission. This policy is consistent with the board’s standard requirement for all candidates, including those who sat for the UTME.
JAMB revealed that many candidates who applied through DE during the 2024 registration used awaiting results but have yet to update their records. Candidates in this category must urgently visit any approved CBT centre to upload their results as soon as they are released.
“No candidate will be considered for admission without verified and uploaded results,” the board warned. “Any DE applicant whose result is not uploaded will be treated as not having any results at all.”
The board also advised candidates planning to apply for the 2025 Direct Entry to be proactive. They are encouraged to upload their results immediately after they are released to avoid the complications being experienced by some 2024 applicants.
The directive underscores the importance of timely compliance with JAMB’s admission procedures, as failure to meet the requirements can affect a candidate’s chances of securing admission into their preferred institution.
