The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a final reminder to all 2024 Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied with IJMB or JUPEB awaiting results: upload your results now or be disqualified.
In a statement by Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D., Public Communication Advisor at JAMB, the board stressed that candidates who fail to upload their IJMB or JUPEB results will not be considered for admission under any circumstance.
“Any candidate whose application still shows ‘awaiting result’ will be treated as having no result at all,” the board stated. This means such candidates will be automatically removed from the 2024 admission consideration list.
JAMB explained that this policy is in line with existing rules applied to UTME candidates, where awaiting results are not accepted during the admission process. All results must be uploaded and verified to determine eligibility.
Candidates who registered during the 2024 DE application period using IJMB or JUPEB should urgently visit any JAMB-approved CBT centre to upload their results immediately after release. The board emphasized that this is a critical step that cannot be skipped or postponed.
Looking ahead, JAMB also advised 2025 DE applicants to take this issue seriously. They are encouraged to be proactive and ensure their results are uploaded as soon as they are available to avoid being caught off guard.
