The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially debunked rumors that the ongoing 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration will end on Monday, April 7, 2025.
In a statement released by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB clarified that the DE registration process, which started on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, is still ongoing and will remain open until a formal closing date is announced.
Registration Still Open Until Further Notice
JAMB urged candidates and the public to disregard any unofficial reports suggesting that the registration is ending soon. According to the Board, candidates can continue to register at any of the designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) across the country on Monday, April 7, and beyond.
The Board emphasized that there is no fixed deadline yet, and candidates still have time to complete their registration without panic.
Ongoing Investigations Delay Final Deadline
The extension of the DE registration period, according to JAMB, is intentional. The Board stated that the extra time will allow it to conclude investigations into several candidates who have been arrested or flagged for attempting to register with fraudulent A-Level results.
JAMB has previously raised concerns about the use of fake certificates by some candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions through Direct Entry. In response, the Board has strengthened its verification procedures and warned that anyone caught using fraudulent credentials will face strict consequences.
Warning to Candidates with Fake Results
In the statement, JAMB issued a strong warning to individuals planning to register with fake or suspicious qualifications. The Board stated that it has developed robust systems capable of detecting false credentials — both now and in the future.
Candidates who know they have previously submitted fake results are being advised to withdraw voluntarily, as the Board’s investigations are now expanding beyond registration to include individuals already admitted into institutions through questionable means.
Final Advice to Candidates
JAMB has reiterated its commitment to fairness and integrity in the admission process and encourages all prospective Direct Entry candidates to ensure that the information and documents they submit are genuine.
Candidates are also advised to rely solely on JAMB’s official communication channels for accurate updates regarding the Direct Entry process and any eventual closing date.

Good morning sir/ma.
Please, I’m struggling to get admission letter from JAMB, and I had done the necessary and required registrations (Undisclosed Registration/JAMB Regularisation), and submitted the form/print-out to the prestigious institution I did my ND. I presented the Admission Letter given to me by the prestigious institution at State JAMB Office Osogbo, but they requested for JAMB Admission Letter. I had done all the things I was asked to do in order to get the JAMB ADMISSION LETTER, and submitted a copy of the document/print-out to the prestigious institution where I did my ND. I kept checking JAMB PORTAL, but can’t find ADMISSION LETTER OVER THERE. PLEASE IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I AM MISSING OUT TO DO THAT I HAVEN’T DONE TO GET MY JAMB ADMISSION LETTER
