JAMB 2025 Mock: Should the Exam Slip Be Printed in Colour or Is Black and White Acceptable?

As candidates prepare for the 2025 JAMB Mock Examination taking place tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, one of the common questions on many minds is whether the exam slip must be printed in colour, or if black and white is acceptable.

A candidate, Isiaka Abdulsomod, asked:
“Should the JAMB exam slip be printed in colour, or is black and white acceptable?”

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified in past guidelines that black and white printouts are perfectly acceptable for both the mock and main UTME. Candidates are not required to print in colour as long as all information is clear and legible.

Here’s what to keep in mind when printing your exam slip:

  • Ensure your passport photograph is visible
  • All details including exam date, time, and centre must be clearly readable
  • The slip should be clean, untorn, and not folded

In summary, both coloured and black and white copies are allowed. So, if you’re unable to print in colour, a sharp black and white copy will still be accepted at your CBT centre. Just make sure it’s neat and easy to read.

Candidates are reminded to arrive early at their designated centres and come along with their printed slips and valid identification.
