A candidate, Wisdom Ojo, has raised concern after noticing that his JAMB portal still displays his 2024 registration details, even though he successfully registered for the 2025 UTME with a different institution.
According to Wisdom, he wrote the UTME in 2024, but rejected the course he was offered by his chosen school, UNIBEN. For 2025, he re-registered and selected a different institution—UNILAG. However, upon checking his e-facility portal, he discovered that it still reflects his 2024 data, including his old institution choices.
“So I wrote JAMB last year (2024) and although I passed, the school I chose changed my course. I rejected it. Now I registered this year (2025) with a different school—2024 (UNIBEN), 2025 (UNILAG). But when I checked my portal, it still shows 2024 and the same institutions,” he explained.
Wisdom also noted that his friends who also wrote last year and re-registered this year have already seen 2025 updates on their own portals.
What JAMB Says
This issue is not uncommon. According to JAMB, there is no cause for alarm. In some cases, the 2025 candidate information may not immediately reflect on the portal, especially if the full update for that year hasn’t been rolled out to all users.
JAMB has assured candidates that if they completed their 2025 registration successfully and received confirmation, their data will be properly updated in due time. The delay is usually due to backend synchronization.
What You Should Do
- Do not panic if your portal still shows 2024 details.
- Confirm that your 2025 registration was successful (payment receipt, confirmation slip, etc.).
- Refrain from making multiple changes or registrations, as that could complicate your records.
- Wait for the 2025 portal to be fully live, especially as the main exam date draws nearer.
If the issue persists or if you didn’t receive a confirmation of your 2025 registration, visit the nearest JAMB office or contact their support channels for further assistance.

Sir am having issue with my name in my 2024 jamb portal and have I registered for 2025 jamb and I change all my details there sir even with the court affidavit
And jamb have send me the confirmation detail and the original jamb slip but whenever I login into my jamb portal it still showing that 2024 old name

I went to cyber cafe they told me I didn’t register for jamb mock will I did.
