JAMB 2025 Mock: Candidates at Sascon International School Abuja Denied Full Exam Time After Long Delay

Candidates scheduled for the 9:00 AM session of the JAMB 2025 Mock Examination at Sascon International School, Abuja, were left disappointed after experiencing a delay of several hours, only to be cut off shortly after the exam began.

According to a report submitted by one of the affected candidates, Almazkura Kamal, students at the centre were left waiting for the entire day, as their exam did not commence until after 5:00 PM, despite being scheduled for early morning.

“Candidates for the 9 AM JAMB mock at Sascon International School Abuja did not get to complete the exams,” Kamal said.
“They didn’t start until past 5 PM, and within 30 minutes of starting, the staff told them they wanted to close for the day. They now automatically submitted for all the candidates and shut down the systems.”

This incident meant that many students did not complete their exams, and were forcefully logged out, raising concerns about fairness and proper planning at the CBT centre.

The JAMB mock exam is meant to help candidates get familiar with the CBT format ahead of the main UTME. However, events like this may cause stress and discourage students — especially those who took time to prepare and arrived early for the test.

As of now, there has been no official statement from JAMB regarding the situation at Sascon International School. Candidates affected are calling for explanations and hope that JAMB will review such centres before the main UTME begins on April 25, 2025.

Candidates Speak Out

The report from Sascon joins similar complaints from other centres where delays, poor communication, and technical challenges affected the smooth conduct of the exam.

Many candidates have urged JAMB to take strict action against centres that poorly handle the mock process and to ensure that the main UTME is better managed.
