JAMB 2025 Mock: Ogba Centre Keeps Candidates Waiting from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Before Cancelling Exam

A candidate, Adewale, has shared a frustrating experience from the Post Oak Business CBT Centre in Ogba, Lagos, where students were left waiting from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM, only to be dismissed without writing the JAMB 2025 Mock Exam.

According to Adewale, students had arrived as early as 6:30 in the morning, ready to sit for the exam. However, the centre reportedly kept them waiting with no proper communication or explanation, only to send them home after almost 12 hours.

“We students at Post Oak Business, Ogba, were delayed from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM in the evening before they told us to go back to our various houses,” he said.

The situation left many candidates tired, angry, and deeply disappointed, especially after spending money on transport and food — and sacrificing an entire day for nothing.

A Pattern of Poor Handling

This report adds to a growing list of centres where JAMB 2025 mock candidates were either delayed, poorly treated, or unable to write the exam at all. For many, what was meant to be a practice test turned into a day of stress, confusion, and wasted resources.

Several candidates across the country have spoken up about long delays, technical failures, and centres closing without conducting the exam.

Calls for Investigation and Action

With the main UTME exam scheduled to begin on April 25, 2025, students are urging JAMB to revisit the list of approved CBT centres and investigate those that failed to deliver during the mock.

Many are calling for better planning, monitoring, and accountability, especially to protect candidates who travel far and depend on this exam for their future.

  1. Yes, At Oak Business school we were unable to write our Exam because of Network. Student got there as early as 5 am with their parents, Only for us to be delayed till about 12pm before we could even do biometric. We got to the hall only to find out that Jamb Network wasn’t functional according to the information given to us. We sat till 6pm before the Angry parents came to pick their wards as they also have been outside under the sun waiting for a positive response.

It was a total waste of strength, Money, energy and hope
