JAMB 2025 Mock: Candidate Laments Failed Exam at Delta Centre After Traveling from Sapele

In a message sent anonymously, the candidate explained that they travelled all the way from Sapele to the centre, only to meet non-functional systems and poor connectivity, which prevented the mock exam from holding.

“The mock in Delta State, St. George’s College after Obiaruku was totally bad and not effective,” the candidate wrote.
“I had to leave my house all the way from Sapele to write the mock, but all was to no avail as the systems were not working, and the network was very bad.”

The candidate expressed frustration over the wasted time and effort and noted that they are now deeply concerned about the possibility of being posted to the same centre for the main UTME.

“I do hope that I do not write there again for my main examination,” the report concluded.

Growing Frustration Over CBT Centre Failures

The incident at St. George’s College adds to a growing number of complaints from candidates across Nigeria who faced technical issues, poor planning, or outright exam failure during the JAMB mock held on April 10, 2025.

While the mock exam is optional, it is meant to prepare students for the real UTME and build confidence in the CBT format. However, technical breakdowns like this one continue to weaken trust in certain centres.

A Call for JAMB’s Intervention

Candidates and parents alike are calling on JAMB to take swift action by:

  • Reviewing and de-listing underperforming CBT centres
  • Providing alternative centres for candidates who were affected
  • Strengthening network and system reliability ahead of the main UTME beginning April 25, 2025
