JAMB 2025: Candidate Cries Out Over Delay in Receiving Mock Result After Multiple Attempts

A 2025 UTME candidate, Aberhire Ovie, has raised concerns over the delay in receiving his mock examination result, despite sending the required message multiple times to the official JAMB shortcode.

Ovie explained that he has attempted to retrieve his result five times by texting “MOCKRESULT” to the designated codes but has still not received any response.

Candidate’s Frustration

Sharing his experience, Ovie said:

“My mock result is not coming. I have sent to the code five times now but I have not received mine.”

This situation reflects the frustration of many candidates who have faced difficulties accessing their results after participating in the 2025 JAMB Mock UTME.

Possible Reasons for Delay

While JAMB has released a large portion of the mock results, the Board earlier announced that about 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released soon.
Delays can happen due to:

• Network issues between candidates’ mobile service providers and JAMB servers
• Technical problems on the shortcode platform (55019 or 66019)
• Candidates using a different phone number from the one they used during registration

JAMB has assured all candidates that all valid results will eventually be made available once processing is completed.

What Candidates Facing This Issue Should Do

If you have not yet received your mock result:

• Make sure you are sending MOCKRESULT from the same phone number you used to register for UTME.
• Ensure you have enough airtime (at least ₦50) on your line.
• If the delay continues, candidates are advised to remain patient as JAMB finalizes the pending results.

JAMB’s Assurance

JAMB has promised that candidates who successfully sat for the mock and completed biometric verification will receive their results, and no one will be unfairly denied.

Candidates are encouraged not to panic and to stay updated through official JAMB communication channels.
