JAMB News Update for Today, Saturday, May 3, 2025

As of today, Saturday, May 3, 2025, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) continues the nationwide administration of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The exercise, which began on Thursday, April 25, is expected to conclude on Monday, May 5, 2025.

UTME Results Yet to Be Released

JAMB has once again clarified that the UTME 2025 results are not yet released. The Board stated that results will only be made available after all post-examination analyses and quality assurance procedures are completed.

“Candidates are enjoined to remain calm and patient while the Board concludes its internal processes,” a statement from JAMB reads.

Beware of Fraudulent Messages

In a separate development, JAMB has raised alarm over fake messages being circulated among candidates. These fraudulent messages claim that candidates’ JAMB details have issues and urge them to contact certain unknown individuals for correction — often with the intent to scam.

JAMB emphasized that:

• It does not send such messages,
• Candidates should disregard any unofficial communication, and
• All official updates are available only on the JAMB website or through its verified social media pages.

Exam Still in Progress

Thousands of candidates across Nigeria are currently sitting for the UTME in batches, as the CBT exams continue across over 800 accredited centres. Despite minor technical complaints at a few centres, the examination has largely been smooth and well-coordinated, according to reports from observers and media visits.
