A concerned UTME candidate, Benedict Ochei Okocha, has raised an issue regarding his JAMB portal. Despite registering for the 2025 UTME, Benedict noticed that his e-facility account still displays his 2022 registration details, leaving him confused about whether he’s eligible to take the exam this year.
“I registered for JAMB this year 2025 and logged in to my e-facility account, but I still find out that my registration year is showing 2022 instead of 2025. Why is that? Please help me. Or is it that I’m not qualified to take the exam this year?” he asked.
In response, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle @JAMBHQ, assured candidates that there is no cause for alarm. The issue, according to the board, is due to the fact that the 2025 platform has not yet been fully made available for public viewing on the e-facility portal.
This is a common occurrence in the early stages of the UTME cycle, and JAMB emphasized that all candidates who have successfully registered and received their confirmation messages or printouts are qualified to take the 2025 exam.
Candidates are advised to stay calm, continue preparing for the exam, and wait for JAMB to activate full access to the 2025 portal for all candidates. Once live, the correct details—including exam slip reprinting and centre allocation—will reflect accordingly.
