The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be held nationwide tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The mock exam serves as a preparatory exercise for candidates sitting the main UTME, scheduled to begin later this month. It is designed to help candidates familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and test their readiness ahead of the main examination.
JAMB had earlier announced the disbursement of over ₦397 million in transport allowances to more than 1,900 officials participating in the conduct of the mock examination across the country, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient exercise.
The Board has urged candidates to arrive early at their designated CBT centres and to come with their mock exam slips, which contain essential details such as their exam time, venue, and seat number.
JAMB also reiterated that the mock exam is optional and does not count towards candidates’ final UTME scores. However, it remains an important tool for preparation, especially for those unfamiliar with computer-based testing.
Candidates are advised to avoid bringing prohibited items such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, and any electronic device into the exam hall, as JAMB maintains its zero-tolerance stance on exam malpractice.
With thousands of candidates set to participate nationwide, tomorrow’s exercise marks an important step in JAMB’s 2025 examination cycle.
