The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the registration process for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) has not yet commenced. The Board shared this update via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on January 15, 2025.
JAMB reassured candidates that details about the registration exercise would be released soon and advised them to stay informed through official channels.
In a follow-up post, the Board encouraged prospective candidates to prepare ahead by ensuring they have their National Identification Number (NIN) ready and a unique phone number that has not been previously used for registration on JAMB’s platform. This will enable candidates to generate their profile code promptly once registration opens.
“Attention prospective 2025 UTME/DE candidates! Kindly note that registration has not commenced. However, details on the exercise would be announced soon,” JAMB stated.
“You can get your NIN ahead and a phone number that has not been previously used to register on our platform to generate your profile code prior to the time,” the Board added.
The announcement highlights JAMB’s commitment to a smooth and efficient registration process, urging candidates to take proactive steps to avoid delays when the exercise begins.
