A concerned parent, Mrs. Nwachukwu Bridget, has expressed frustration after her son was unexpectedly excluded from the 2025 JAMB Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, despite paying and registering for the exercise.
According to her, the issue was discovered when her son attempted to reprint his mock exam slip, only to find out that he was not listed as a mock candidate. “My son got to know that he is not a mock candidate while trying to make reprint. He paid and was registered for the mock. Please, how do we go about this?” she queried in a message shared with JAMB.
This incident has sparked concerns among other parents and candidates who fear similar experiences ahead of the mock exam scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2025. The mock exam is intended to help candidates prepare for the main UTME by familiarizing themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system.
While JAMB has not issued an official response regarding this specific complaint, candidates who registered for the mock are advised to reprint their exam slips via the JAMB portal (www.jamb.gov.ng) to confirm their eligibility and exam details.
Affected candidates are encouraged to immediately contact JAMB support or visit the nearest JAMB office with proof of payment and registration to resolve any discrepancies before the exam date.
As the mock UTME draws closer, the Board is urged to address such issues promptly to prevent confusion and ensure that all duly registered candidates can participate without unnecessary stress.
The Truth of the matter is that these people are thieves. You pay for the mock exam, they do not register you for the exam but instead covet your money for their personal use.
Same thing happened to me while I was registering for the exam at Julia-Gee Cornerstone and when I approached the official who registered me by name- U.C. Emmanuel, he repeatedly insulted me, refused to refund me and borderline just asked me to come for an exam by 7am on Friday, 11th April 2025, which I am very sure is not the jamb mock examination I paid for.
While obvious that corruption is a great bane in the Nigerian society, it is very much appalling that the upcoming generation are made to face it firsthand. Makes me wonder the kind of leaders tomorrow will bring forth. May God help us all!
