Candidates participating in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have praised the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the smooth and hitch-free conduct of the exercise at various centres in Awka and surrounding areas.
The examination, which started nationwide on Thursday, 24th April, is scheduled to end on Monday, 5th May, and serves as the gateway for admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Nigeria.

Three candidates — Sella Maris Nwattah, Gloria Onuora, and Chukwujekwu Evans — expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and process at their respective centres.
They reported that:
- The computers functioned properly without system crashes.
- Biometric verification was smooth and fast.
- Instructions were clear, and invigilators were professional.
The candidates also wondered why many people hold the wrong belief that JAMB examinations are extremely difficult to pass, noting that with proper preparation, the exam is very manageable.

JAMB Officials Decline Comments
Efforts to get official reactions from JAMB supervisors at the centres visited proved unsuccessful.
The JAMB Coordinator for Anambra State, Mrs. Jema Iheme, also declined to speak to reporters when approached for official statistics on the number of candidates sitting for the exam in the state.
Final Words
The positive feedback from candidates in Awka is a strong indication that JAMB’s efforts to improve the UTME process are paying off.
As the 2025 UTME continues across the country, many candidates are gaining more confidence that a smooth, fair, and successful examination is possible.
Good luck to everyone still preparing to sit for their exams!
My jamb question wasn’t complete. We had only 175 questions it wasn’t up to 180. My English started from question 6 I thought it was only my question but others in my centre also complained about it
Na lie I swear
In english no 1 question to 10 they is no question but only options so are they giving us extra mark or what but I sitlll ticked it
Jamb said Don’t bring pen/biro inside the hall but jamb didn’t give me biro to solve problem
I wrote my exam today. There were no questions from 1-10 in English, only options.
Please look into it.
