As the 2025 UTME continues, some candidates are facing logistical challenges — especially those posted far from their place of residence.

One such case is that of Shakirudeen Salimot Abosede, a candidate from Badagry who is expected to write her JAMB exam in Epe, Lagos State, by 9:00 AM on Saturday. With the exam just days away, she is still struggling to find the direction to her assigned centre.

“I have a problem with my CBT centre,” she said. “I’m from Badagry and I don’t even know the direction to Epe. My exam is by 9 AM on Saturday.”

What Candidates Should Do in Similar Situations

If you’ve been posted to a far or unfamiliar CBT centre, here’s what you can do right away:

1. Search Your Centre Name on Google Maps
   Type the full name of the centre into Google Maps to get directions and estimated travel time.
2. Join WhatsApp Groups or Forums
   Many candidates share the same centres. Post your location and ask if anyone nearby is going to the same venue.
3. Visit the Centre a Day Before (If Possible)
   If you’re not familiar with the route, try to visit the centre a day early — or go with someone who knows the area.
4. Leave Home Very Early on Exam Day
   If you’re travelling far, plan to leave hours in advance. Lagos traffic can be unpredictable, especially on weekends.
