A JAMB 2025 candidate, David Boluwatife, has shared his painful experience after missing his UTME exam despite all efforts and early arrival at the center.
David, who traveled from Apapa and slept over in Ilupeju just to make it to the exam center on time, said he arrived as early as 5:30am. However, when it was time to be verified, his biometric thumbprint failed, and he was not allowed to write the exam.
“I wasn’t able to write my JAMB yesterday because of my biometrics thumbprint. I went home crying. It was so painful that I wasn’t able to write my JAMB exam, even with all my preparations,” he said.
He described how much he had prepared for the exam and the sacrifices he made, only to be turned away due to a technical issue beyond his control.

Now, David is pleading with the JAMB officials to reschedule his exam and give him and others in similar situations another chance.
“Please 🙏😭 JAMB officials should make a reschedule for us 😭😭😭 It’s very painful,” he added.
What Happens When Biometric Thumbprint Fails?
JAMB has a strict “No Biometric, No Exam” policy to fight exam malpractice. This means if your fingerprint cannot be verified, you will not be allowed to write the exam, no matter how prepared you are.
However, in past years, JAMB has made special arrangements or rescheduled exams for candidates with genuine biometric issues, especially if it was a widespread problem at a center.
