JAMB 2025 UTME Begins Tomorrow, April 24 — What Candidates Should Know

The long-anticipated 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is officially set to begin tomorrow, Thursday, April 24, 2025, across all approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in Nigeria.

According to JAMB, over 1.9 million candidates will be participating in this year’s exam, which will span several days, concluding on Monday, May 5, 2025.

Candidates Advised to Prepare Accordingly

Ahead of the exam commencement, JAMB has urged all candidates to:

• Arrive at their exam centres at least 2 hours before their scheduled time,
• Come along with their examination slip (which contains their date, time, and venue),
• Avoid carrying banned items such as phones, calculators, smartwatches, and bags.

Only candidates who arrive early and complete biometric verification will be allowed into the CBT halls.

Early Morning Sessions Begin by 6:30 AM

Many candidates have been scheduled for early sessions beginning as early as 6:30 AM, and are advised to:

• Know the exact location of their centres before exam day,
• Make transport arrangements ahead of time, and
• Sleep early tonight in order to wake up fresh and ready.

Reminder: No Rescheduling for Missed Exams

JAMB has repeatedly warned that there will be no rescheduling for any candidate who misses their scheduled exam — regardless of the reason.
