This means candidates have very limited time left to finalise all their preparations, reprint their slips, and get ready both mentally and physically for the examination.
The first batch of candidates will be expected to be at their centres as early as 6:30 AM on the opening day,
while others will be scheduled for later sessions depending on their individual centre arrangements.
JAMB has emphasized that there will be no extension of the examination dates.
Candidates must therefore take these remaining days seriously.
It is also important to note that in previous years, many students made the mistake of assuming they still had “plenty of time” and ended up missing their exam due to poor planning.
Candidates are strongly advised to treat this final countdown as a serious warning to get fully prepared.
JAMB Reprinting Portal Remains Open
The JAMB reprinting portal for the 2025 UTME remains open as of today, Monday, 21st April 2025.
Candidates who have not yet reprinted their examination slips are strongly encouraged to do so immediately.
The slip contains critical information such as:
- The exact examination date assigned to the candidate,
- The specific time the exam will start,
- The full address and location of the CBT centre,
- Other important instructions candidates must follow.
Reprinting can be done in two main ways:
- By visiting the official JAMB Slip Printing Portal online,
- By going to any approved CBT centre for assistance with printing.
Candidates are advised to use their Registration Number, Email Address, or Phone Number (the one used during JAMB registration) when trying to access their slip.
It is important to print the slip clearly so that both the candidate’s photograph and exam details are easily visible.
JAMB has made it clear that candidates will not be allowed into the exam hall without a printed copy of their reprinted slip.
Candidates who have successfully reprinted should also keep an extra photocopy safe, just in case of emergencies.
Portal Technical Issues Gradually Reducing
Earlier during the weekend, many candidates complained of serious difficulties while trying to access the JAMB slip reprinting portal.
The most common errors reported included:
- Connection Timeout Expired messages,
- Service Unavailable notices,
- Pages refusing to load even after several attempts,
- Delayed or incomplete loading of the reprinting page.
Some candidates even reported that it took multiple refresh attempts before they could successfully access their slips.
However, as of today, Monday 21st April 2025, reports gathered from candidates across various regions show that the situation is gradually improving.
Although a few candidates may still experience minor slowdowns depending on the network strength in their area,
the portal is now more stable than it was in previous days.
Candidates who are still facing difficulties are advised to:
- Try accessing the portal very early in the morning or late at night when internet traffic is lighter.
- Use strong and stable internet connections if possible.
- Clear their browser cache before attempting to reload the page.
- Try switching to different browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, or Opera.
JAMB has also assured candidates that efforts are ongoing to ensure that the system remains stable for all users before the examination officially starts.
JAMB Addresses Candidates Seeing 2023 or 2024 on Their Slip
Some candidates have raised serious concerns after reprinting their slips and discovering that instead of 2025,
their slip was showing 2023 or 2024 as the examination year.
This has caused panic among affected candidates, many of whom fear they might not be allowed to sit for the 2025 UTME.
JAMB has explained the major reasons why this mistake happens:
- Old Profile Mix-Up: Some candidates mistakenly entered their old registration number or details used in a previous JAMB registration (e.g., from 2023 or 2024).
- Browser Cache Problem: Browsers sometimes bring out an old slip that was stored previously, instead of pulling fresh data from the JAMB server.
- Incorrect Login Details: Entering an old email or phone number linked to an older registration can lead to wrong slip retrieval.
Candidates affected by this issue have been advised to:
- Clear their browser cache or use a different browser before trying again.
- Ensure they are using their 2025 JAMB Registration Number or the correct email/phone number linked to their new registration.
- Visit a JAMB accredited CBT centre or office if the problem persists, to have the correct 2025 record retrieved for them.
JAMB has also warned that candidates must not take a slip showing 2023 or 2024 to the exam centre.
Only slips clearly showing 2025 will be valid for entry into the examination hall.
Candidates are therefore urged to reprint carefully and double-check the year printed on their slips before proceeding to the exam centre.
No New Changes to Exam Dates or Centres
As of today, Monday 21st April 2025,
the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that there are no new changes to the official schedule for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The examination will still commence on Thursday, 24th April 2025, and will run across accredited CBT centres nationwide.
In addition:
- There are no changes to the centres candidates have already been assigned to.
- Candidates must write their examination exactly at the centre, date, and time that appear on their reprinted slip.
- No candidate will be allowed to change their centre, time, or session for any reason.
JAMB has consistently reminded candidates that missing the assigned date, time, or centre will result in automatic disqualification.
There will be no makeup examination for candidates who miss their schedules.
Candidates are therefore advised:
- To visit or locate their CBT centres a day before the exam if possible, especially if they are unfamiliar with the address.
- To plan their transportation early enough to avoid last-minute emergencies.
- To prepare all necessary documents (especially their reprinted slip) before their exam day.
JAMB emphasized that maintaining strict order and adherence to scheduled arrangements is critical to the success of the 2025 examination exercise.
JAMB Cautions Against Fake Messages and Fraudulent Claims
As the UTME draws nearer, JAMB has once again warned candidates to be extremely careful of fraudsters who send false messages claiming to offer “help” or “assistance” with examination issues.
Over the past few days, many candidates have reported receiving suspicious messages such as:
- Offers to upgrade their JAMB scores for a fee,
- Claims that their exam details have problems that can only be “corrected” after paying money,
- Fake warnings claiming JAMB caught them in malpractice, asking them to “settle” officials to avoid cancellation.
Some of these fraudsters have even gone as far as creating fake versions of JAMB’s sort codes like 55019 and 66019 to deceive candidates into believing the messages are official.
JAMB has strongly emphasized that:
- It does not send third-party messages demanding money from candidates.
- Candidates should ignore any unofficial WhatsApp messages, SMS, or emails promising quick fixes or miracles.
- Any true message from JAMB will either come through the official JAMB website,
or through verified platforms such as the candidate’s registered phone number (only for official services like results checking).
Candidates are advised:
- Never to share their registration number, email, or password with strangers.
- Never to pay any money to individuals who promise “assistance” outside JAMB’s official system.
- To report any suspicious message immediately to JAMB or security agencies.
Falling for these scams could result in candidates losing their money or even exposing themselves to criminal setups.
Final Reminder
The countdown to the 2025 UTME has officially entered its final phase.
As of today, Monday 21st April 2025, candidates have only three days left to prepare for one of the most important examinations of their academic journey.
At this stage, candidates must:
- Complete their slip reprinting without delay.
- Locate and confirm their CBT centres ahead of time.
- Plan their transportation carefully, especially those whose exams are scheduled for early morning sessions.
- Revise smartly, focusing on high-yield topics and past questions.
- Stay calm and avoid distractions, especially from fake messages and rumors.
- Pack all necessary documents (especially their exam slip) in advance, to avoid forgetting anything on the exam day.
The 2025 UTME officially starts on Thursday, 24th April 2025, and candidates must appear for their exam at the exact date, time, and venue stated on their reprinted slip.
JAMB has made it clear:
Late arrival, wrong centre appearance, or missing biometric verification will automatically disqualify a candidate from writing the examination.
This is the moment to stay focused, stay organized, and give your best effort.
The success you have been working hard for is within reach.
Good luck to all 2025 UTME candidates.
