In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the Board said the affected centres, located across Kano, Sokoto, and Imo States, were found to have fallen short of JAMB’s minimum operational standards.

List of Delisted CBT Centres

The five centres delisted by JAMB are:

  • Adventure Associate, Off Hadejia Road, Kano State
  • Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano State
  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal, Sokoto State
  • Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal, Sokoto State
  • Soronara Ventured Nigeria Limited, Foundation Road, Umudagu Mbieri, Imo State

JAMB has advised candidates who were originally scheduled to sit their UTME at these centres to urgently reprint their examination notification slips to access their new centres and rescheduled dates.

“We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but we will not tolerate excuses by candidates who fail to reprint their slip to get their new schedules,” the Board stated.

Over 900,000 Candidates Have Completed Their Exams

JAMB also announced that, as of Friday, 25th April 2025, over 900,000 candidates have successfully completed their UTME out of the total 2,083,600 registered for the 2025 examination.

The Board praised 883 centres for demonstrating exceptional performance, while warning that any centre — regardless of ownership — that fails to meet ethical or technical standards will be blacklisted.

27 Impersonators Arrested

In another major development, JAMB revealed that 27 individuals have been apprehended for impersonation during the ongoing UTME.
These suspects have been handed over to the Nigeria Police for immediate prosecution.

The arrests highlight JAMB’s increased efforts to strengthen biometric verification and surveillance to combat examination malpractice.

Hijab Incident at Caleb University

JAMB also addressed a recent controversy involving hijab-wearing candidates at Caleb University, Lagos, one of the approved UTME centres.

The Board clarified that:

  • A security official at the institution had unilaterally imposed restrictions on candidates wearing hijabs.
  • JAMB described the action as unauthorised and misguided.
  • The matter was swiftly handled after intervention by the Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University, who condemned the official’s action.

Final Words

JAMB’s actions show a continued commitment to upholding the integrity of the UTME process.
Candidates are advised to stay informed, reprint their slips if necessary, and maintain full compliance with all examination regulations.
The Board has made it clear: there will be no tolerance for malpractice or operational lapses in 2025 and beyond.
