JAMB 2025: What to Do If You Lost the SIM and Cannot Access Your JAMB Portal

The SIM card you used during JAMB registration is important because:

• JAMB sends important messages (like OTP codes, login details, and result checking instructions) to that number.
• The phone number is tied directly to your JAMB profile.

Without access to the registered SIM, recovering your JAMB account becomes more difficult — but it is still possible.

How to Recover Access to Your JAMB Portal

Here are the steps you should take:

1. Visit any JAMB Office or JAMB Accredited CBT Centre: Explain clearly that you have lost your SIM and cannot access your portal.
   You will be asked to provide personal information like your registration number, full name, date of birth, and other details to confirm your identity.
2. Request for Profile Recovery or Profile Code Update: JAMB staff can help you update your phone number in their system after verifying you.
3. Reset Your JAMB Profile Password: After updating your phone number, you can request a password reset through the JAMB portal.
   Alternatively, the JAMB office may help you reset it directly.
4. Go With a Valid ID Card: You should carry an ID card like your school ID, national ID, or any valid means of identification to prove your identity at the JAMB office.

Important Reminder

You cannot change your phone number or recover your JAMB profile through phone calls, emails, or cyber cafes.
You must physically visit a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre for help.

Also, do not wait too long to fix this issue, especially because the UTME will officially begin on Thursday, 24th April 2025.

Fixing it now will allow you to print your exam slip and prepare properly.
