  2. Where to Register: DE registration can only be done at JAMB offices.

Important Points to Note Before Applying

  1. Distinction Between DE and UTME: The JAMB Direct Entry form is distinct from the UTME form, specifically designed for candidates seeking admission into the second year of a university program.
  2. Registration Limitation: Candidates cannot apply for both JAMB DE and UTME in the same year.
  3. Online Application: The JAMB DE form is an online application form available on the JAMB portal.
  4. Accepted Qualifications/Certificates: JAMB recognizes and accepts only twelve qualifications/certificates.
  5. Validity of Statement of Result: Statement of result is accepted for registration only within three years of the date of award.
  6. Upgrade Option: Candidates awaiting A-level results can upgrade from UTME to DE if DE results have not been released at the point of UTME registration.
  7. Fees: The DE fee for the 2025/2026 session is N3,500, with additional charges such as N700 for CBT Centre registration service charge, N1,500 for CBT Centre service charge for mock/UTME, and N500 for bank charges/commission. The total cost is N6,200 for non-MOCK candidates and N7,700 for MOCK examination participants.
  8. National Identification Number (NIN): Applicants must have a National Identification Number.
